Superb and exceptionally rare eight-day longcase clock made in the 1670s by John London of Bristol, pictured before restoration. SOLD. See article.

Superb eight-day longcase clock made about 1710 by the respected clockmaker James Hendrie of Wigton, Cumberland, in its original case of walnut with chevron (herringbone) crossbanding and very rare walnut 'oystershell' cuts to the door surround. An outstanding clock. Walnut clocks of this period by any Lake District makers are exceptionally rare - I doubt if more then two or three exist. See article SOLD.
