An exceptionally handsome lantern clock of the 1670s, unsigned but attributable to the workshop of Jeffrey Bayley 'at the Turn Style in Holborne', London, made with balance wheel control but converted shortly afterwards to verge pendulum, this being a very scarce conversion. Retains twin-weight drive. Unidentified casting mark behind chapter ring. SOLD.
